Learned that this beautiful mansion with 15 foot ceilings and fireplaces is/was a Sears kit house! The owner Leo Adler was a remarkably generous man who lived into his 90s. His estate still provides scholarships to all local college bound kids,

This was an excellent look into what domestic life was like in the late 1800. The house was beautifully crafted and well restored. It is worth climbing the 28 stairs to see the upstairs.
