I love this viewpoint. The absolute best view of face rock. If you have time this is one of many parking lots with stair access to the beaches below. This particular lot is right above some of the best rock formations on the beach and...More

Do not miss this view! Went to see the rock formations and stayed for the amazing sunset. Went back the next morning to check out the tide pools. What a find!

The way that this rock looks towards the sky is amazing. How it was formed and what is the face looking at in the heavens. I hope it is all good.

Terrific and a not so cold day. You can take an hour-long walk on the beach with great views and sound from the sea.

Being from the south eastern coast of NC, I could not imagine a beach like this. Standing on a cliff and looking out to rock formations, like miniature mountain islands, off shore, I was reminded of exotic islands in Asia I have seen pictures of....More

Such a romantic scenic spot for families with or without kids and couples! The best time to go is probably around sunsets! Please make sure you make yourself warm by layering clothes. It could get cold even in the summer time.

I never get tired of seeing the beautiful views from this lookout. This time of year (May-Aug), many seabirds, including Common Murres, Pigeon Guillemots, Cormorants, Gulls and even a pair of Tufted Puffins are nesting on Face Rock. Every weekend in the Summer they have...More

Beautiful vista view of face rock and friends. Windy so bring a jacket. Careful on the staircase down to the beach. Take long walks if you have the time. Lots of pebbles to find, and anemones and starfish at low tide clinging to rock bases.

I've seen dogs and horses on the beach, and dogs at the viewpoint. I don't think there are any restrictions.
