The High Desert Museum is a wonderful place to explore the history of Oregon, the high desert animals, and to see a re-creation of an authentic old west town. Beautifully situated, close to Bend and Sun River. A delight!

Excellent and educational day with the kids. We especially enjoyed the "encounters" where a guide introduces the group to an animal and teaches us about their habitat and lifestyle.
