I took my husband on this tour for his birthday because all he drinks is hoppy Deschutes and we loved it. It was such a blast getting to learn how the beer was made and walking through the factory seeing everything. The tour guide was very modern and up to date and young. She was spunky and very knowledgeable about... More

I didn't think that kids would be allowed to tour the facility but I was wrong. For the most part, it was the kids who enjoyed seeing the live version of "How It's Made" that we love to watch on TV. The bubbly and friendly tour guide made us smell and taste hops, eat different variety of barley and educated... More

The tour guide was so passionate about the product and the company! I wish I got her name. 3:00 on a Sunday it was a fantastic thing to do while in town visiting my son. I love learning about food and beverage. In the tasting room they gave a special taste of a rum barrel type that was a fantastic... More

We had a lot of fun on the tour with our 2 friends who live in town. The tour was pretty standard if you've been to other breweries, but they had a lot of different beers from what they distribute that were fun to try. We went on a Friday afternoon. Our friends had made tour reservations ahead of time.

They also have a brew pub downtown, but at the brewery they have a tasting room and small shop. Parking is available in the visitor spaces in front of the building. In the tasting room, you are provided 4 complimentary tastings per day. They provide a piece of paper and you write the 4 beers you want to taste. Great... More

There is a tap room integrated to a big gift shop. You can get 4 samples free. It’s not a place you want to spend lot of time but absolutely worth visiting. There is not much to do if you're not drinking beer. It’s easy to find and there’s parking space in front of the building. Great beer.

This was not one of our better stops although their restaurant in town was excellent. We eat there 4 times in two weeks.

As a local, I attend here regularly. I have often advocated we start a church on site. Seriously, this is a superb place to check out free beer samples after a run down Mt Bachelor. No you don't have to take the tour, although your appreciation of hops will be enhanced and the the display of Jubelale posters is impressive... More

The Deschutes Brewery Tour was one of the most informational I've ever been on. Our guide was very energetic and knowledgeable about the brewery. She took us behind the scenes and showed us the brewing equipment, bottling line and even a lab where they sample the beers. At the end everyone got to pick 4 beers to try. Very cool... More

If you are a lover of beer the Bend area is the place to vacation. There are so many breweries and brew pubs it would take you a week or longer to "safely" visit them all. The granddaddy is Deschutes who started in 1988. Thee is a reason they are successful and when you visit the brewery you will see... More
