Great starting point for a river float. Barton-Carver river float

Barton Park is the perfect starting point for a float down the Clackamas river. I floated the river the last week of August 2015 and the trip from Barton to Carver was 3.5 hours. It's just the right amount of time. I floated the entire time and only stopped once for a 5 minute pee break. Keep in mind that... More

We were extremely disappointed with the park hosts on our recent camping trip. This place was EMPTY and the park hosts decided to harass us the entire time. At one point they even called the police on us because our dog was briefly off her leash. They didn't come talk to us like NORMAL hosts, just called the police. When... More

The campground is great, we have been to it a few times and it is clean and has nice sites. Biggest problem with this campground is they not only lock the gate coming in, but also the one going out. We needed to get out as we had an issue at home and had to leave at around 10:45 and... More

This is a nice park, with very clean restrooms and free showers, nice playground, short walk to an amazing park on the river. Would be a great spot for wedding for family party's. All kind of sights availably, some great wooded areas for tents or small campers. I would of given it a 10 but some sights area close together.... More

Clackamas County Barton Park is a little treasure. It is located near and on the Clackamas River with a day use park on the river, several tent camping sites, and a partial hook-up RV side called Barton East. It is very clean with very nice pull-through sites, and several back-in sites. The bathrooms are very clean and well-maintained. Because this... More

We have lived close to Barton Park or 5 years and have loved being so close to its fun and beauty. It has access directly to the Clackamas River with a boat launch. There are hundreds of trees to provide a cool place to picnic and play. Beware of the playground equipment on the lower part, it definitely can use... More
