Amazing local museum. Many artifacts unique to this location. They have a really good "town" display. I didnt inquire but it seems there's also some historical records available to consult. One very great feature is a boxcar that has been converted to a movie theater....More

The most amazing exhibit of arrowheads and chipped tools I've ever seen. The historical stores set up as if on a street were fascinating. The visit to the caboose was a real eye-opener. This is a wonderful museum, well worth a visit or a dozen....More

Visited the little museum in downtown Brownsville Oregon. Part of it set up in train cars. If you have a couple of hours visit this little jewel of a museum, plenty of interesting history to look and read about in this quaint little town.

This small gem is full of interesting and varied items. I love the scenes that are realistically set: the store, the hair dresser, the doctors office, Many of these were local businesses. The little movie theater in the old train car is delightful. If you...More

Otherwise know as the Brownsville Museum, it's on a side street off the main street, and situated inside the old railroad depot (moved from its original location) and some railroad cars. It's crammed full of history from the time off the wagon trains and after,...More

On many occasion traveling I-5, we've seen signs for the Brownsville Pioneer Museum aka Linn County Museum, and on this trip we finally decided to check it out with our pre-teen grandson. Are we glad we did! This isn't too far off the highway, and...More
