Cannon Beach is beautiful! I thought we were the only ones crazy enough to go to the tide pools during low tide in December at 5 at night. I was wrong. There were tons of people doing the same thing as us, looking for anemones, starfish and all the other critters you can find in the tide pools, only in... More

One of my favourite beaches of all times! Goes for miles and does not disappoint. Haystack rock will usually have wildlife on it, mainly birds. Sometimes puffins. Rangers will usually set up information and do talks on the vegistation of the area.

memories of The Goonies movie come right back to you as soon as you walk onto the beach. When the wind blows the waves are so powerful.

Of course if you go to Cannon Beach you must see Haystack rock. Best viewed walking along beach, but from the road it can be seen as well.

It was dead the 1st week of January so we got some amazing shots of the rocks. However, it was the 1st week of January so it was cold! Hope to be back in the summer sometime.

There's nothing like it! It is one of the largest Monoliths in the world, standing 235 ft high. The tide pools are incredible, especially in August and early September.

My boyfriend and I visited Cannon beach on a coastal road trip in November of this year. This was definitely one of our favorite beaches that we explored. The beach itself is so wide and you can walks for miles. Haystack rock was such an experience to see in person. It is amazing how big it is in person and... More
