The beach was huge with soft sand. Great place for pictures and making sand castles. Parking is hard to find and getting down to the beach is a little hard to locate. We found a general parking area and had to weave our way through...More

I found the town of Cannon beach crowded, they did have a large parking lot for parking to go to Haystack rock. People were waiting for parking spots. The parking is free. I only found one access down to the beach down a side street....More

It is a real treat that there are volunteers out at low tide to teach you about the ties pools. It's a beautiful beach.

What a neat experience. This is an iconic rock that we've seen in movies and books. To see it in person is something else! Depending on the tide, it looks different during the day. If you can visit it at low tide, you'll be able...More

If you go to CB the Haystack is a must. We lucked out and the tide was out so we could walk right up to the rock. What an amazing wonder

Fascinating scenery, the way the waves reflect the sunlight is truly mesmerizing. Gorgeous beach to go for a walk or just relax. Drove out from Portland to go have a look and it was definitely worth the trip!

You can no longer visit the Goonies' house in Astoria. There are no trespassing signs in the driveway. I read another review that said if you ride down a side street on a bike you can somewhat see it.
