My first trip to the Pacific Northwest was October 2018. My son & I visited here, and the good thing is, it's only $5 to enter. The downside is that it was foggy, drizzly, cold, & visibility was poor. But for me, it was still...More
The park is very close to Cannon Beach and has a wonderful view. It also has paths to hike. The view is even available in the rain. You can hike down to the beach but you do not need to hike to enjoy the gorgeous...More
My first time to the Oregon coast did not disappoint! We went on a rainy/windy day, so it was too cold to go down to the beach, but the views of Cannon beach and the waves were amazing. If you're a fan of the Goonies...More
We did birth hikes, Oregon Coast Trail and Crescent Beach Trail. They were both just amazing! You hike down to the beaches in both and you will see some of the most amazing sights in your life. They are challenging, but quite doable and they...More
I’ve been coming to Cannon Beach for many years for Ladies Retreat. This time I brought my family and this was #1 on my list. We loved every minute of being here. The park is well taken care of, but the view, the view is...More
It'll cost $5 to get in, and the car line to get in may take you a while (especially on a weekend), but it's worth it for sure. 2 main parking / lookout / beach areas. Make sure you visit both. I think one of...More
Although there wasn't any hikes like we had expected due to a storm and erosion the view is still stunning and we were able to enjoy our fish and chips at a picnic table while enjoying the view. Going down to the Indian beach was...More
I enjoyed the views from Clatsop Loop Hike, though it wore my wife out. It's 2.5 mile round trip and going up is really steep. I would advise not doing the loop because there's nothing to see on the inland side. Just go up and...More

We were just there a couple weeks ago. If I were bringing a 5 yr old (or anyone) I would drive to the parking area of Indian Beach within the park and take the stairs down to the beach. They are wide and easy steps and only take a few minutes down. Wear good shoes vs flip flops as I saw a little one trip. Crescent Beach on the south end can be accessed from Cannon Beach but like mentioned, but ONLY during low tide so watch that carefully. It's also a very long walk from cannon Beach...more than it looks.
