We came on a sunny day in March to enjoy a walk through the gardens and enjoy a picnic. We also enjoyed watching the large waves crashing on the rocks below the viewpoint. There are trails down to the beach or along the coastline with some great views.

Second visit to this beautiful park. Especially love seeing the seals & whales off the coast. The gardens are lovely as well. Very peaceful; no crowds.

About 15 minutes off Highway 101, this State Park is well worth the drive. Beautiful gardens, amazing ocean wave action, breathtaking photo opportunities, and historic reader boards. The Oregon coast is one of the most beautiful places on our planet, and this park is a diamond in the crown.

It was a nice day, the weather was good. Was hoping for bigger waves as we were showing off our favorite state Park to out of state relatives. There were a lot of people there but you didn't feel crowded at all.

The crashing waves at the viewpoint are a mist see on the oregon Coast. I have never seen a place where the raw power of nature can be observed from so close. The lights at christmas in the gardens are a must visit every year too.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. The history behind Shore Acres is definitely fascinating, and the view of the ocean waves smashing against the rocks is quite breathtaking. The botanical garden is gorgeous, when it's in full bloom it's amazing. I definitely recommend visiting here, especially during the December lights. It's quite something. After my first visit, we have visited at least 4... More

We traveled most of the Oregon Coast and this area was my favorite. Try to get to the area during high tide or days with large waves - the crashing of the water against the rock formations is dramatic and awe inspiring. To add to the fun is the gardens. We were there at the beginning of October and there... More

The gardens are spectacular in beauty and scope. There's a great gift shop, walking trail, and covered pavilion for whale watching. The location is perfect - continue up the road to an overlook of seals and sea lions, backtrack to a picturesque cove with a beach, and have lunch and shop at the quaint fishing village of Charleston.

Being really honest my wife and I did not care much about the garden, we were mesmerised by the cliffs, waves and views here. We were there in a windy day and the sea was very rough, lots of waves crashing, we were stunned about it. I really suggest that you go down to the beach and then take one... More
