Stopped at Vista House for views of the Columbia River Valley. This building is beautiful, hiway 30 is an enjoyable ride, and this is a great place to get photos as it overlooks the Columbia River valley.

The Vista House is just a really cool place to stop by. The view of the Columbia River Gorge is absolutely amazing and you can see for miles. The gentleman at the desk inside was very helpful and eager to assist the travelers in planning their trip through the gorge. There are also bathrooms and a gift shop located inside.... More

This is a must stop when you are going to the scenic waterfalls trip. Absolutely stunning views of the gorge even on a cloudy day!

Really pretty views from here. Walk all the way around so you can see upriver and downriver. Go inside the building and talk to the cute couple. They have a map for you and stickers for your kids. You can also go up the stairs to the balcony outside. Worth the stop!

After we finished viewing two of the eight falls located in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area and off route I-84 (Columbia River Highway), we continued to “go to the top” of this roadway which was a bit narrow, circular and somewhat steep at over 700 feet to see the Vista House, Crown Point known as a rest stop... It provides a great view of the Columbia River Gorge. It's a free attraction and there's a gift shop. A must stop place for photographers.

This is one of the places every tourist to Oregon must see. Beautiful views above the Columbia River. Just took some out of state Friends there this month. And took my dad there 2 months ago. The place is old with marble floors and you can walk out side on top. Best seen when it's sunny and no wind. It... More

Wow! We found this by accident as we were driving the scenic route. Just a beautiful, unique contribution to part of the historical landscape! Be sure to stop and tour with camera ready for great views all around, outside and inside the Vista House.

From Vista House, you get some of the most stunning breathtaking views of the valley. I was fortunate enough to be there on a mostly clear day and was reminded a bit of the Ireland country side. The building is wonderful on both the inside and the outside. Be sure to go in, go up to the balcony level, and... More

A trip to the scenic Columbia River Gorge should start at the Vista House at Crown Point. This historic site on the old Columbia River Highway offers spectacular views of the mouth of the Gorge. In the distance on the Washington side in the distance is Beacon Rock, one of the largest free-standing monoliths in the world. The volunteer staff... More
