This was our last winery we visited out of six and am so glad we did! It ended up being our favorite due to the quality of wine, the special they were running ($6 bottles of 2010 Riesling that tasted like a chardonnay), the casual atmosphere and convenient location of the tasting room. There were multiple wines we enjoyed, moreso... More

The winemaker knows what he is doing and that style shows across the offerings of estate and purchased grapes. Some unusual varietals you don't find everywhere. Compared to Sonoma, Napa and appellations south, prices are very reasonable.

Every since I met these fine people at the Bite of Oregon a couple of decades ago, I was amazed by their friendly style and stellar wines. Discovering their tasting room in Elkton, Oregon, was an extra-special treat, as it is a perfect stop on the way to the coast. It is a lovely tasty room, with friendly, knowledgeable servers,... We were heading to the coast to visit a friend and stumbled upon Brandborg. What a fun stop! It was their wine club pick-up day, so they were busy. The staff was friendly. You actually get two tastes for free! $5 for five more tastes. Roomy tasting room with a small gift area to peruse, and an outdoor patio. I'd... More

I agree with other commenters. The tasting fee is very reasonable, the wines are very good. The tasting room itself is fun quirky. The grapes are grown very close by, some not that common for Oregon wineries; at least our experience. You have to pass by here if you are coming from the west. Stop.

Nice winery on the main drag through town. Comfortable, large tasting room - looked like they could host parties or other events. They offer 2 free tastings per person, after that, it's 5 for $5 - though they didn't charge me for a 3rd, perhaps because I. Ought a bottle. Generally good wines. Really liked and bought a bottle of... More

Great place to visit. The wine is so good we joined their wine club. The owners are just wonderful and so informative about their wines. Best Pinot in Oregon for the price.

I found Umpqua Valley Wine Tour guide in the hotel tour rack. Brandborg is the first on the list so we went there first. I like these small family owned and operated wineries because you never know what you will find. The woman behind the counter was friendly and knowledgable about the wines she was pouring. We liked all of... More

They have a gift shop with local clothing items for bikers friendly staff as well as wine closet nick knacks. A verbal tour of their piece of heaven to direct you to local attractions such as the high school butterfy farm and preserve.

We came to southern Oregon to check out the wines down here in the days just before Thanksgiving. We knew the country was beautiful but had no idea about any of the wines they made here. We were advised to visit this winery so it was our first stop. A very pleasant surprise indeed. We were especially fond of their... More
