Open Saturdays 10-5 from April-mid November. Each Saturday Lane County's favorite artisans, chefs and musicians bring their creations to Saturday Market, Eugene's weekly open-air Marketplace, creating a vibrant event that nurtures local commerce and community. Founded in May of 1970, Eugene's Saturday Market is Oregon's original Saturday Market, and the oldest weekly open-air crafts festival in the United States.

Wander among the 200 booths filled with fine handcrafts, always sold by the artisans themselves. Jewelers, potters, seamstresses, candle makers, glass workers and many more bring their arts to sell. The International Food Court features seventeen food booths serving a wide array of foods prepared fresh on site, including burritos, pad thai, pizza and cheesecake. The Market Stage showcases local and regional musicians playing everything from original folk to jazz, Celtic music to rock-and-roll all day long. Lane County Farmers' Market is just across the street each Saturday. Two nearby parking structures provide plenty of free parking, and the area is fully wheelchair accessible.

Saturday Market is a must see for visitors and locals alike. The first time we went we mistakenly did not explore all the areas and stuck to the "produce" area. Most recently we made our way around the entire place and discovered wonderful food, all kinds of interesting crafts, and a stage where musicians perform. It was well worth the... More

Bought organic veggie starts to plant in my garden! Artichokes, spinach, 3 colors of bell peppers, lemon and regular cucumbers! Also had a Peruvian chicken Tamale. All the time listening to an abundance of street musicians and professionals. Oh yah, got high just walking through the venues!!! Did I mention that the sun was shining and the people were animated!!!

Lots of variety, food, crafts, clothing, fresh vegetables - you name it, it's probably there. And don't forget entertainment. If you are in the "market" for fresh produce, go early! Opens at 10 a.m.

Not a big deal to me. Prices are not that great and parking is a daunting experience. I have found items there to cost more than what I would pay for locally near me.

No trip to Eugene is complete without the real Eugene experience: the Eugene Saturday Market! Like VW busses, hippies & U of O, the Saturday market provides one with a superb array of organic vegetables & food items & crafts. This is a must see to experience the authentic Eugene.
