Visit this beautiful park in the spring, when the flowers are blooming. Lots of walking paths and photo spots.

Just up a hill a couple blocks off a city street and you're in old-growth tall timber. It's cool under the trees where the light is filtered through green boughs. There's an old timber and stone picnic spot just at the top of the hill...More

I have been involved with this garden for 50 years. To the average person it is beautiful, but it could have been much better if the city of Eugene would have put more effort into making it a garden instead of a play ground. It...More

Hendricks park is a bit difficult to get to. The road in is steep and narrow and I always go by car. Admission is free and once in the park, parking is free but somewhat limited. Hendricks park is nestled in an evergreen forest and...More

This small park on a hill was nice even in mid-October! There are rhododendrons, ferns, and other plants here, with quite a few of them labeled. It is peaceful—at least when we were here in the fall. There is limited parking. Admission is free, with...More

This is a forest within a city, high on a hilltop. The azaleas and rhododendron are beautiful when in bloom. There are lots of other flowering bushes as well. There are nice picnic facilities, too.

I have been coming up to this park even as far back as when they had Elk, and Deer pens. The park is great, and so pretty. I go there every time when I go to Eugene.

My wife grew up in Eugene and never tires of going to Hendricks Park. It changes with the seasons. The tall trees and the trails and the fabulous rhododendron gardens. One of my favorite viewpoints to look out over Eugene.
