Great views if the city of Eugene - elevation is a little over the Willamette Valley and city of Eugene. Clumps of trees five feet in diameter, tall western furs, and amazing azalea gardens. Plenty of parking and a great place to be within nature

Hendricks Park is easily accessible by car to downtown Eugene and the university. There are two distinct areas - the rhododendron garden with several meandering paths and beautiful landscaping, and hiking trails in the forest. Because it's not a huge park the trails aren't terribly...More

The hushed, winding road takes you uphill, along the edge of a neighborhood, into the dappled forest. Oregon is known as the land of pointed things - magnificent firs, cedar, alders, dogwoods , ferns and other wild trees. So very green. This visit, just last...More

Hendricks is a gorgeous park closely located to the University of Oregon. Gentle, winding trails though beautiful flowers and greenery. Best times of the year are the spring and fall.

Yes, even in the rain, the park is beautiful. Plants were happy and smiling. We loved the moss on the trees. Great place to picnic, minus the rain.

Gorgeous. Almost any time of year this park has lovely views of either native plants or HUGE rhodies. If you go in the spring when the rhodies are blooming, you will not be disappointed.

wonderful location on top of a good sized hill just outside the U of O campus. If you are visiting the campus, defintely find time to walk thru the Fir forest on the miles of trails. Great rhody garden. easy access parking can be challenging

Fun little day spot. They do charge for parking. Great place to have an extended picnic with the family. Parking fills up quick, wish they would add a few spots.
