For someone generally living in Southern California this place is like a piece from heaven. You can spend the whole day here. There are three or four sections in the park. And it is absolutely worth of seing.

Lovely park with great flowers and plenty of hiking trails. Ok to walk to from the OU campus but a car or bike would be best.

I visited on a drizzly day in early July, which only added to the magic of this park for this southern Californian. The rhododendrons had already peaked, but I didn't feel cheated in the least. There is so much beautiful vegetation to behold. In particular, I reveled in the tall Douglas-fir forest. My friend, a recent transplant to Eugene, told... More

I walked around a little bit to kill time before going to the Olympic trials. I walked through the rhododendron garden, but unfortunately all the flowers were dead at the time I went. I walked another section of the park, which was just a trail through the woods. It was a nice park though, and I could see it being... More

If you want good pictures this is the place to go. It has a nice gathering area as well which I believe can be reserved.

Beautiful park that makes you feel like you are far out in the woods somewhere - really wonderful. Rhododendron garden is just wonderful in the early spring!

We walked a bit in the park. Nice to see a natural area in a city. Our mission was to see Pre's Rock 5/30/1975. Lots of peaceful woods and natural plants

Tall trees shelter the Rhododendrons which (usually) bloom April to July. The paths are easy to walk. It's a little hard to find the park but is a nice place to take a little break.

Went during April when the Rhododendrons were just starting to bloom - spectacular. We visited during the week and it was so peaceful.
