Just a beautiful trail down to a very private beach. Easy to park and find. Well worth the stop. You can take a north branch off the trail and visit the Heceta Lighthouse.

It was pouring rain when we were there. Still, the trail was interesting. When we got to the beach, the wind felt like it was blowing at about 45 mph so we didn't spend much time. I think this could be a really nice short...More

This trail is a wonderful trail for families and people of all ages. This is a must do for me whenever I visit Florence. Easy trail and I have never see an unleashed dog on this trail.

Took this hike near sunset and was not disappointed. The trail is moderately strenuous since you slope down to the beach, then climb back up again. Going down was somewhat a strain on bad knees, but all the scenery is definitely worth the trip. The...More

This spot is a hidden gem. A beautiful short walk through the trees (watch out for tree roots) leads to a pristine beach, which we had all to ourselves. It is about 1.1 miles north after the tunnel. Park on the east side and cross...More

Lovely and magical hike north of Florence, OR to the beach. We keep expecting to see sprites and forest nymphs. The trail is less than a mile and opens up onto a very private beach (The Hobbit Beach?).
