This is a lovely trail that winds through the forest for about 1/2 mile and ends up at a beautiful, walkable beach. Hobbits would love it!

This is a nice 1/2 mile hike to the beach. The parking lot is across the street from the trail head and is near Mile Marker 177 on Hwy 101. The beach is beautiful and the stroll along the beach was worth the hike down/up....More

A scenic, non-strenuous half hour hike that leads to the beautiful beach below. Parking is very limited so arrive early.

Off HWY 101. There is a small parking area good for around 20 cars so I suggest getting there early. We arrived around 11am and were at the last spot (Sunday morning). Or else you can park along the area where you see fit. You...More

A nice trail, half a mile down a hill (the hike back up to parking area is uphill, should have taken my hiking poles). Park on the east side of 101 about half a mile after the tunnel heading north between the Heceta Head lighthouse...More

Hubby had read a bit about this hike... We looked for it and determined to go, rain or shine. The morning rained like crazy, but as soon as we got on the trail it stopped. By the time we had hiked the approx 1/2 mile...More

We loved this trail. Great for the kids as it's short with a payoff at the end- Hobbit cave, a waterfall, pretty beach.

What a cute hike! Totally enjoyed it, although I saw no hobbits. Coming from the south, look for a parking spot on the right before marker 177. Then you will have to cross the street to hike it. Doesn't take too long before you reach...More
