Beautiful view and great stop along the Oregon coast. You can't go in the lighthouse but just walking around and seeing the area/views is great. Lots of great photos.

Nice Tour and you will absolutely thank yourself for visiting, taking pictures, and videotaping the breathtaking panoramic views...and consider making reservations at the B&B ahead of time prior to your visit.

Park volunteer said that visitors can no longer go into the lighthouse. Nice half mile walk up a gravel trail though.

Gorgeous- and really the best way to see it is the viewpoint before (or I guess after, depending on which direction you are driving from) right off the highway. We did go down the bottom and park. There is almost no view at all of...More

Great hike up to lighthouse. Volunteer docents very good with giving history of lighthouse. Picturesque and scenic ocean views. Bring binoculars to view birds and sealions.

Highly recommend you visit this lighthouse. It is beautiful from a distance and up close. Volunteers provide a tour and give a history lesson which was very interesting. We also saw sea lions and birds nesting on the huge rocks in the ocean. You have...More

You have to pay a $5 day use fee to park. Some people have complained in their reviews about this. Come on folks, it's $5 and it supports the maintenance of the beach park including the lighthouse. Get over it. As for the Lighthouse, it...More

We really enjoyed this visit to the Heceta lighthouse. We attended the tour at the lighthouse and the house. The information was contradictory but we appreciated the docents time and love of each place. You are no longer allowed to climb the stairs to the...More

Yes, I believe the trail is always open. It is a fair hike up there. The trail isn't really steep, but it does ascend about 1/2 mile in a fairly short distance. The view is well worth it, though, if you can handle the... More
