We hiked to the Heceta Head Lighthouse via the Hobbit trail, which offer some spectacular views. Of course it is easier to reach the lighthouse via the park, but it is well worthwhile to hike 50-100 meters up the Hobbit trail from the lighthouse to...More

It’s an uphill hike to the lighthouse. Once at the top you are able to see the keepers houses and the lighthouse itself. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a short movie and pictures showing the lighthouses history. It’s location is beautiful. Make...More

We love this place. we parked at the state park near the bridge and then walked the trail to the lighthouse. It is great to see after all the restoration work.

After tide pooling with friends we made the short hike up the lighthouse. There were several vantage points and each one had a detailed informational plaque. The views were amazing. Definitely worth the short trip up.

A short drive off the coast highway, a modest parking lot probably fills in summertime. There is a fee to park, $5 at the time of our visit. A small beach in front of it, a wide path at the north end gently slopes up...More

Really lovely place to enjoy the ocean, views, tide pools, and beach. If you wish to see the tide pools, make sure you look at the tide reports and go as close to low tide as possible. The walk up to the light house is...More

I liked the hike to see the Heceta Head Lighthouse. We walked by a Bed and Breakfast. Once at the top, we found the beautiful lighthouse and three homes. One of the home was in connection with the lighthouse. Behind the Heceta Head Lighthouse, there...More

Yes, I believe the trail is always open. It is a fair hike up there. The trail isn't really steep, but it does ascend about 1/2 mile in a fairly short distance. The view is well worth it, though, if you can handle the... More

I would expect not but the views and sounds of the ocean should be enough to keep you engaged.
