Opened in 1936 The Siuslaw River Bridge that spans the Siuslaw River on U.S. Route 101 in Florence, Oregon. One of the few remaining Oregon drawbridges on US Highway 101, Very interesting architecture to enjoy on your coastal road trip.

It's a bridge with history, but a bridge is all it is. If you're into bridges, or love scenic views/photography, you'll love this bridge. If you aren't, this is probably not the place for you.

I pass over the Siuslaw Bridge at leas once a week. I love the wonder. I get to see something new every time. It's never the same twice. I always enjoy whatever view awaits me.

Stayed in the hotel just under the bridge on the main drag. Great view! This bridge is amazing at sunset!

We took several pictures from our room of this bridge. The architecture of it is beautiful. It sits on top of the River, at sunset it is quiet majestic to see.

I love this bridge. It is so beautiful. They have changed the approach to the bridge. You used to be able to walk underneath it now it's blocked off which is sad to me. It is still worth seeing.

I could stare at this for hours, it's a gorgeous area. The Art Deco lines of this beauty are amazing. Don't be put off be the renovations, you can still it very well.

The bridge does have sidewalks, though one side was undergoing renovations when we were there. The locals were walking their bikes across the bridge on the sidewalk, and I strongly recommend you do the same (vs. forcing... More
