Fun little Forest to explore. Plants that are rare and fun to read about their exclusivity to Oregon and the coastal region.

What a cool little place! The park was created to protect this one species of plant. Think Venus Fly Trap only bigger! Pretty amazing when you think about it. Nice boardwalk thru the park.

If you are into botany it is worth checking out this site along the Oregon coast. It is a short walk to see the Pitcher Plants and very well kept. There are a few picnic benches near by if you wanted to stick around.

The shape of these particular plants is interesting as they look like a cobra. The only place where they grow. It is not large but a ideal leg stretching stopover. You could take a picnic luch as there are a couple of tables there.

This is a small preserve set aside for a member of the pitcher plant, Darlingtonia California, better known as cobra lily. There is a relatively large parking lot, restroom facilities and a small picnic area. We followed a short boardwalk trail that led to a...More
