Hot day; beautiful lake

Visited on a lark for the first time in 30 years...wasn't disappointed. The lake was beautiful and all the new facilities were great, especially the fishing pier.

The area is beautiful and well maintained. There is ample opportunity for swimming and water sports. There are several picnic areas that include tables and grills. We went there with the intention of renting a boat and fish. Unfortunately, there were no boats left in working order. I suggest that if you are planning on renting a boat at Mad... More

Hot weather and all I want to do is be cool. Hagg Lake is not that far away from Tigard,OR. The bottom of the lake is muddy instead of grass or reeds. The water is a great temperature on a hot day. The bathrooms were clean and there are a few picnic tables. There are numerous access points and a... More

I am a frequent visitor to Hagg Lake, living in nearby Forest Grove. I go out and fish a lot, and take in the scenery from weekly throughout the year. Henry Hagg Lake, is like waking up next to your beautiful spouse. One day the Sun brushes their face, and you see a little bit of heaven, when the next... More

We are going to have our second company party at Hagg Lake in August and with the huge pavilions they have you can easily fit well over a hundred people under them. The lake is nice with good fishing and swimming areas the only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the roads are really rough going around the... More

What a beautiful lake and a scenery this place has got! However, these bees!! I came to this place for my friend's wedding and couldn't concentrate because of them. I'd love to come back here for a picnic but am not sure if we could enjoy it or how to protect ourselves from bees. It's that bad!!

Fantastic place to go hiking for the day, do a little fishing, just relax around the lake. Easy access, and not far at all if you live on the Westside of the Portland Metro. A popular hangout during the summers yet, never really seems overcrowded.

I am a mountain biker and rude the trail around Hagg regularly. It's pretty nice though there can be stickers on the trail. And don't bother riding in the winter mud. It's also great for water fun. There are free loaner life vests. It costs money to bring in your car and boat.

I have lived in the Portland area for 34 years and have never made it out to Haag Lake. Now that I'm retired I find the time to rediscover the things I loved to do as a kid such as fishing or anything outdoors. So I drove from Keizer to the lake but I did it via Beaverton instead of... More

We live near Hagg Lake and have a ski boat. For boating the lake is especially nice during the week on hot summer days. The further into summer the warmer the water is. On weekends the water is crowded with too many boats and is choppy and not fun to ski or wakeboard on. There are several areas for sunbathing... More
