One of the most unique tourist attractions on the Oregon Coast, the Prehistoric Gardens is great for young and old alike. Just 17 miles north of Gold Beach lies an untouched prehistoric garden complete with 23 life size dinosaurs set among a lush 300 year old Oregon rainforest. The self-guided tour allows you to casually stroll along the path and discover what the Earth was like millions of years ago. Family owned and operated since 1955, this eco-friendly attraction is a must see! Pet-Friendly! Dogs are allowed to take the tour for FREE as long as they are on a leash.

Did not expect this and we only stopped b/c our daughter requested it...super glad she did. A short little walk through the temperate rainforest with life-sized dinosaur replicas. In addition, lots of info about the flora of the region and its evolution.

Prehistoric Gardens is a very unique experience and I recommend it to everybody. It's like going to Jurassic Park but a wizard showed up earlier and turned everything to stone. You are really spoiled when you get to walk an exotic forest, view art, and...More

Loved it! The garden itself is gorgeous and the dinosaurs are impressive! Was surprised how much info they put into it, it's not just a roadside attraction, would make a good school field trip.

Love this place. You have to stop here if you're in the area. Great for all ages. Huge dinosaurs in coastal rainforest. Rare opportunity to see something like this.

The dinosaurs are NOT the attraction here but do add a bit of variety. The stars of the show are the plants, trees, lighting in the forest, running water. Go - you'll love it.

The prehistoric animals represented here are fun to see and some what educational. Be sure to take a few deep breaths. The air here is as good as it gets.

The gardens are lovely and well maintained. When we visited, it was raining. They provided umbrellas and the precipitation really didn't impact our stroll through the grounds. There are information signs throughout detailing the facts and history of both the depicted dinosaurs, as well as...More

This is an exhibit of painted concrete dinosaur sculptures. It is in a natural setting with a trail of "Dino footprint" signs that you follow. It takes about 30-40 minutes to do the entire tour. It's a pretty easy walk that you can even bring...More
