We've often visited Leaburg Fish Hatchery through the years, and they've made so many improvements that I had to write a review. The display ponds have a path around them and this has been shored up to be more safe, and the bridges have been replaced. The old viewing platform near the river has been replaced and the path rerouted... More

Learn how trout are hatched, raised and released. See trout in different stages of their lives. See Salmon and Steelhead that swim up the creek and chill in a resting area. For a quarter you can get a handful of fish pellets and feed beautiful rainbow trout and giant Sturgeon! Easy access to fishing and the Leaburg dam. Great place... More

We lived within a mile of the Hatchery for 16 years and visited often. It's a great place to view trout and sturgeon and to see all of the different sizes of fish that are being raised. There is a cute walk along a stream with lots of signage and a pond. Unfortunately, it is on the opposite side of... More

Always a good place to stop. If you have kids, they will love it. There is fish food available to feed the hatchlings for a small price. There is a lake and play areas nearby. Greta place for a low stress picnic. If you are in the area, you should visit it.

My son, who is now 5 years old, can feed the fish, play and then hike back to the perfect fishing spot just up the river. What a wonderful family destination for a day trip on the river!

Most people don't realize how huge sturgeon fish can get, though they are used here as catfish to keep the salmon ponds clean. Just off the McKenzie Highway, super convenient, you drive atop the dam to the other side, a wonderful, free 20 minute stop.

We had a workplace barbecue in the park. Lots of room to run around and look at the fish, etc.
