About
REX HILL has been making elegant Pinot Noirs for over 30 years in the Willamette Valley at the gateway to Oregon's wine country. REX HILL honors exceptional single vineyards and continues a legacy of singular Pinot Noirs & Chardonnays that reflect their origin. That sense of place is paramount to the way we farm our land and make our wines. We are now open 7 days per week by reservation only. Join us for a tasting on our covered, heated patio. Great views and an easy location to get to for most everybody. We were able to taste only red wines which was great. The pinot noirs were really good. Witness Tree was the best pinot we tasted. We were able to taste a cab also. Doug was our server and he was quite knowledgeable.

My husband and I enjoyed visiting Rex Hill Winery. It's conveniently located right outside of Newbery, and their wines are delightful. The tasting room is gauged toward larger groups in a more institutional setting. We enjoyed the view of the vineyards while tasting their wines. Our host was very knowledgeable and hospitable.

A beautiful winery with little hospitality.
We did have reservations but the attitude at this winery was not welcoming. The wine was poured in the least scenic portion of the winery —the tunnel, and unlike the previous two Willamette wineries we visited, we came away not knowing much about this one.

Rex Hill had a beautiful tasting room. However, the staff was just okay. Not super informative. Said basically the same exact thing about every wine he poured. Snacks offered were nice but pricey. Not my favorite of the day.

With new ownership they seem to have replaced their Oregonness with a California Corporate vibe.

We prefer "small wine."

This was a perfect rainy day to enjoy the wonderful wines, with great food pairings. Our host and sommelier knew the wines and the entire experience was top notch

Beautiful location and interior design. Rather average wines. Wait staff was a bit pretentious. It does have small bites available.

We had such a great experience here even in the midst of the heat wave. Beautiful winery and great wine tasting. The charcuterie board was great too!! Our host was a very personable young man who was very attentive. I believe his name was Jonathan. There was 5 of us and each one of us was quite pleased!!

We had a lovely wine tasting at this winery, mainly because of Sundiata! He was a wonderful guide & teacher, and a very personable guy! He was so knowledgeable and adapted our wine tasting to our tastes and likes. Thank you, Sundiata! Rex Hill is a beautiful winery with lovely wines!

My group of six ladies went to Rex Hill as the final stop of a three winery tour. We opted to buy a couple of bottles of wine to share rather than do a traditional tasting, and that was apparently not a problem; however, shortly after ordering we suddenly and without explanation were told to “cork our bottles” and leave. We asked why, but the manager refused to give us a reason. We were stunned and humiliated. I am 72 years old and have never been treated like this in a public place in my life. This horrible experience ruined an otherwise wonderful wine-tasting day with friends.
