This is our second time at Champoeg State Park. It is a lovely campground with manicured sites. Loop B is our preference, with views of open fields and scattered trees. Don't worry about the lack of sewer h/u at some sites since they have plenty of wells specifically designed to dump your kitchen sink water. The bike path is accessible... More

Wonderful park with tremendous scenery. Great for both long and short hikes. We went in November and the weather was still good.

Campgrounds are often planned to maximize space but not always to enhance the campers experience. This park sits in contrast to that reality and achieves both goals. Their are two RV friendly loops with 'B' extremely well laid out for larger rigs. There are pull through spaces in two areas, one in a wagon wheel the other individual side by... More

Such a beautiful place to camp and only 20 minutes from my house! My husband won't camp. So when he was going to be gone last weekend, went someplace close with my 3 sisters! The restrooms have nice showers and are very clean. There's a place to buy wood and ice, which is helpful. Lots of places to walk, and... More

We had a wonderful time at Champoeg doing a bit of light hiking and a picnic. Definitely a great place to visit for a day trip. The park staff is quite friendly and helpful.

We wanted a nice cool place to walk on one of those 100 degree days. It is such a serene setting for a picnic among the beautiful trees. It is a State park so there is a $5 fee for your car to enter.

We have stayed here several times and have enjoyed our experience each time. The B-Loop sites are large with plenty of spacing with some having shade. Our site #31 is out in the open but great for getting a satellite signal. There are some pull-through sites. A-loop is tighter and they the sites are all back in's. Verizon cell/4g service... More

This is a very special place indeed. It's quite lovely, a great place to learn about some unique Oregon history and a great place for a leisurely walk or bike. Be sure to visit the museum and their authentic heritage garden. The staff have done an amazing job and are fantastic to talk to. The campground is well maintained, however... More

My friend and I walked along some of the forest trails here some time ago. It is a beautiful forest and a lovely park. If you're looking to get outside while in the Newberg area, this is a great place to do it.
