So I took my adult son here for the second time, (the first time he was about 11-he remembered nothing) and he absolutely loved it. So much to learn and find out. A few jump scares for the 20 year old made this kitschy museum of sorts the best for a mom who loves to show something new to a... More

We've been going to Ripley's and the Wax Works since our kids were little (late 1990's). Hubby and I decided we'd revisit them, since it had been about 8 years. Wow--not much had changed, including the paint, carpet, and most of the displays! The carpet was shabby, the paint was chipped and peeling in places, and some of the displays... More

A previous reviewer described this as "kitchy, but fun" and I couldn't put it better myself. A ticket to Ripley's + Waxworks + Underwater Gardens is worth it. You save a little money and any one of the attractions by itself wouldn't take very long. They're a little dated and a little run down, but there is some sweet nostalgia... More

Definitely lots of strange stuff here. The kids weren't real fond of some parts but really enjoyed others. Some things just didn't peak their interest. I purchased the 3 attraction pass for 4 people on groupon for Ripley's, The Wax Museum and Undersea Gardens for $40 so it was reasonably priced entertainment. Regular price was roughly $25 for an adult... More

This, with the adjoining Wax Works and Undersea Gardens is a reasonably entertaining indoor diversion on the Newport Bayfront. If you know the old Ripley's cartoons, this is a collection of exhibits recalling some of his favorites. A shrunken head, the "Pharaoh's" curse and some condescendingly anachronistic Asian amusements. (Did you know that if all of the Chinese marched four... More

Have been to the Ripley's at Fisherman's Wharf, so I knew what to expect. Kitchy, but fun. Some interesting facts.

Great entertainment for the whole family. You get a lot of early believe it or not newspaper stories with recreations of the sometimes startling facts Ripley discovered mostly in the far east.

My husband was familiar with this place but it was the first time I had been there as well as our daughter and she loved it. She jumped a few times because she's four, but had fun. Some of the exhibits are in need of some upkeep but otherwise can't complain.

I would recommend this to anyone with small children because with us living in the technological age, it is hard to dig up some fact that can or can not be proved online. I found this place to be meh and it only took about an hour to go through it, real slow.
