It only looks scary. The folks here are friendly and they have an amazing bartender named Jenny Jo. The Sunday Jam is WAAAY too loud for me but Doctor Babski Karaoke is fun on Friday nights. There are a couple of locals named Karly and Randy that are terrific singers and bring a fun group in. While I would never... More

I have lived in Newport for 3 years and love the live rock n roll music at the 1809 Bay Haven Inn. A dog-friendly bar with a smoking yard out back. Very local clientele, mostly fishermen. Don't come here for the food, just the alcohol and music in this great atmosphere.

Stopped here waiting for a restaurant to open and was greeted by a very sweet Golden Retriever. Staff is very friendly. Beer is cold! If your looking for a relaxing environment to have a couple drinks this is your place!

We loved this Bar, a pup named Sam will greet you at the door. Lots of locals go to this place, but they are all super kind to visitors. Great drinks and live music.

I've been in and out of this place over the last five years. Now that they have added Karaoke on Friday nights I'll be here more. The sound system is top notch and their KJ, Dr. Babinski is the best in town. He keeps the party going and the rotation fresh. It's fun to go sing a few favorites with... More

I can picture this place being pretty cool when it's packed with a mix of tourists, locals and music. However, do not go there looking for a place to grab a drink on the week night. It's empty, dark and full of the terrible smells from the fish processing plant across the street.

It's a kinky old-fashioned bar on Newport's beautiful bay front. Fun Jam sessions every Sunday afternoon from 3-6. Who knows who will drop in. Great drinks. Fun rock & roll and really nice people. The Bay Front is full of shops and restaurants. It's a very fun area to visit and spend the afternoon. Sudie

Every tourist town -- like Newport, Oregon -- needs one little bar where guys can hang out while their wives shop at the local gift stores. This is that place -- an old, locals dive that caters to some very interesting characters. Best of all, on Sunday afternoons there is a Sunday Jam Session that draws musicians from miles around....
