Hadn't thought to write on Coast Park before this must be our tenth visit minimum. Clean, with options for multiple age levels. Biggest issue is equipment in battle with the sea air to retain function. A great community asset.

We enjoyed this park. Nice break away from the hotel room and windy beach. The main play structure had some area that was broken which happens.
The tube slide down the hill was a hit with the kids and big enough for me to enjoy as well! We will return.

This park is really neat! We stopped by for a quick play, my kids loved the slide, it’s not as fast as they would’ve liked or looks but still had fun.

This is a neat park - the issue is that it really doesn't have much for young children. Perfect for kids 7 and up!

The other sad thing is that the giant metal slide, which seems to be the center piece to the whole park, looks like it's been decommissioned. I dont know if there are plans in place to restore it...but if not - perhaps putting in a structure with swings and another slide would really help this cute little play area.

So many great things to play on and a slide that is tough to be. You descend an entire hill inside the tube!

My brother-in-law recently relocated to Newport, Oregon so we decided to visit him for the long Labor Day weekend. I found Coast Park on my morning run so my girls were excited when I told them that I found a little park with a big slide. We spent a little bit of time at the park over the weekend. They enjoyed playing on the equipment as well and all the kids were enjoying the pirate slide (including my two). They even talked dad into going down so the slide is big enough for adults as well. It is next to the Performing Arts Center so there is plenty of parking available but as mentioned in another post, parking may be an issue if there is something going on at the center. The park itself is a fairly short walk (approximately 5-10 minutes depending on your pace) from the Nye District of Newport. It is filled with small shops and various restaurants. It was obviously a busy weekend so parking near the shops, restaurants or the beach was hard to come by so we parked at the park and walked. There is also a paved path to the beach across the street from the park (Don Davis Park). Don Davis Park is a great spot to watch sunsets so kids could play at the park while you are waiting to catch the sunset! If you are in the area with younger kids then I think the park is worth a visit. My two wanted to stop by the park before we left town!

Okay, I'm a little too old to be playing in a children's playground, but there are some interesting things to do here!

This park is right next to the Performing Arts Center at the southern end of the Nye Beach area of Newport. There is plenty of parking, even for RVs -- although if there was a play or event going on, parking might be more limited.

On one side, there is a little hill with a path up to the top, and at the top is a 'pirate ship'! Then, there is a slide tunnel to the bottom. What fun!

The park is beautifully maintained and everything was spotlessly clean. There are some benches for parents/adults to sit and watch the kids run and play. The ocean is just a few hundred yards from here.

We truly enjoyed the park however we had a 2 year old and there weren’t many toddler things to do. The park did not have any swings. We did enjoy the slide! The 2 year old kept going up and down the slide. Several teenagers arrived towards the afternoon and it became a bit not so toddler and kid friendly.

A fun stop while exploring Newport. Other kids to play with. My granddaughter loved the slide. Close to hotels, restaurants and easy to find. A great place for a picnic or a little energy burn off. Clean and well taken care of.

Various play equipment-safe, and fun, and challenging-even the adults can get in on some fun. Also includes a long slide. It sits beside the Newport Performing Arts Center.
