Washington park is a wonderful park. It is in the west hills over looking Downtown Portland. The Rose Garden and Japanese Garden are part of the park. It has a small holocost memorial and beautiful statues. one is of Sacajweia and was donated by Susan B. Anthony to the 1905 world exposition.

The Washington Park Rose Gardens, with its quiet places and vistas make this a great place for one to take a time out from a hustle ans bustle visit or stressful day.

Washington Park is awesome. There is always something going on. It provides a nature sanctuary to enjoy the outdoors near the city. It is a great way to enjoy the outdoors without being exposed to all the weirdos, drug addicts, and vagrants in downtown Portland

A beautiful location next to the International Rose Test Gardens and worth a relaxing visit to wind down and appreciate the beauty of nature within the cityscape.

So much to do in Washington Park, hiking, Zoo, Japanese Garden, Rose test garden, Holocaust Memorial and more. Parking is tough however.

Coming from New York, we don't get to see this much greenery in one place. Nice hikes. Very enjoyable afternoon as long as the weather holds up!

There were so many amazing hikes through the area. Basically this is one of like 8 parks/zoos/activities in one centrally located area. It rained on us but the beauty erased all the care about that. Stunning.

We wanted to see Washington Park because there is so much to see within close proximity. Quite a few reviews mentioned parking problems but the weather wasn't too good on the day we went so there was ample parking early in the day. There is a light rail stop right outside the zoo and we had already decided to ride that...
