The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is a nationally-renowned science center providing science learning to a range of audiences. Our programming is guided by OMSI’s long-term vision to promote a healthy, innovative, and sustainable society where everyone is prepared to participate in civic life. OMSI’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming helps visitors and program participants master 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration. We achieve this vision through exhibits, classes, camps, traveling educators, and adult programs around the state, making OMSI a trusted educational resource to all Oregonians.

Visiting from CA. Had my 12 yr old and 2 yr old cousin. Chemistry labs were great. Loved the toddler room upstairs for the little one. Paid extra for robot exhibit. Little disappointing, seemed most were being "recharged" and seemed like a lot of advertising...More

We saw the robot exhibit in addition to the other regular exhibits. The entire museum is highly educational and entertaining. Your child may decide on a career in science after the visit. Many of the exhibits were interactive and intellectually challenging, similar to the Exploratorium...More

Each time we have visited Portland, we tried to include the OMSI science museum. On the last trip, the special exhibit was Robot Revolution -- fun and educational. That also sums up OMSI in general. It is fun and educational. Adults will find interesting challenges,...More

We were here for a hands on science experiment. OMSI is greed towards the younger kids or kids that have not been there before. It is on the expensive side.

You can spend an entire day just inside, but the submarine is worth a visit, and then there is the IMAX! We also walked over the Tilikum Crossing and back, then grabbed a bit in the cafe at OMSI. The staff are incredible with kids...More

I had the opportunity to visit this during the Pompeii exhibition. Well organized and conveniently located. The shop is very nice, too!

Bright, loud, lots of things to do and see. Geared for school groups. I was underwhelmed for me but a family with children could spend a day.

Didn't look around the museum, but did take the Submarine tour which was very interesting and very good value. Tour guide was a veteran of the sub, told some great stories and you get to see the torpedoes, the tube and the control room amongst...More

Did not have enough time to finish all the museum, but from what I could tell was pretty decent, especially submarine tour is real valuable.

My family did a package which included all interactive areas, Robotics, Planetarium, IMAX, Interactive games and Submarine tour. The staff seemed to handle the large Memorial weekend crowd with minimal issues. The only area lacking staff support seemed to be the a cafe located next...More

Not cheap! Cost depends on which of many options (movies, submarine, special exhibits,...) you choose.
