The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is a nationally-renowned science center providing science learning to a range of audiences. Our programming is guided by OMSI’s long-term vision to promote a healthy, innovative, and sustainable society where everyone is prepared to participate in civic life. OMSI’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming helps visitors and program participants master 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration. We achieve this vision through exhibits, classes, camps, traveling educators, and adult programs around the state, making OMSI a trusted educational resource to all Oregonians.

I’m giving this museum 3 stars purely because I thoroughly enjoy the submarine tour, otherwise I would have given it a 1 star! Honestly, it’s quite overpriced for what it is. The museum admission allows you access into three small exhibits which are located on...More

I've been to OMSI a couple times, and I've never been impressed with the exhibits. The whole place has never seemed worth the price of admission. I had a couple friends go to an OMSI After Dark event last year, and they told me they...More

The writing was on the wall when we got in line to enter the museum - it took 40 minutes at least just to check in. The event was over sold by a factor of 2 or even 3. You couldn't move and at EVERY...More

I'm not usually sure if my kids will like a museum until they get there. I expected a short visit but they were happily occupied at OMSI for many hours.

Enter, pay and then go straight to the big room where it is all hands on science. Go to the chemistry room first because I think it closes early. It was fascinating. Thereafter we played with water, air, puzzles, robots, electricity, etc. Loved it. When...More

I read in the Oregonian's A & E section that OMSI only costs $2 for General Admission on the first Sunday of each month. So I looked up OMSI on the internet and saw that they were also Screening THOR: RAGNAROK at their Empire IMAX...More

Went there with my 5 and 7 year-old grandsons - they were actively interested in so many of the exhibits and experiences. Very engaged! A very nice lunch followed by more exploration and then an imax movie. Great day.

We wanted to like OMSI, but our time here, mostly spent at the Illusion exhibit and the planetarium show Starry Nights LIVE! was underwhelming. The Illusion show was a hodgepodge of information and failed to engage these 3 adults each with an interest in science...More
