Biking, running, walking or sitting on a bench, the views on the waterfront are beautiful. With acres of lawn and miles of paved trail there's room for everyone. The kids will love all the water fountains on hot days. And of course the weekend brings...More

Beautiful waterfront views. I enjoyed running along here in the morning. So glad that Governor McCall stopped the land from being used for a highway. It's one of the many things that set Portland apart from other cities.

This area is vibrant. The paths are packed with bikes, runners and walkers. I ran alone each morning and felt really safe. There were festivals going on in the area that enhanced the experience.

We love coming down to the water front, there is always something going on down there. We enjoy the Portland Saturday market, voodoo donuts is only a couple of blocks away, and there is a nice walking path. Sometime it's a little dirty after big...More

I love walking by the river - any river - and for that, Tom McCall Waterfront Park serves its purpose. There's a paved walkway and some green grass (which all turns to mud come winter) which winds under and around several of the bridges (namely...More

Portland needs to improve their homeless situation. But it's a pretty park in the day time. Nice concerts.

Was a great place to people watch, while we walked along the river. The Saturday Market (which is also open on Sunday) was fun to see.

The blues fest and the July 4th fireworks are a huge crowd favorite. The many walkways for shopping, dining and many other attractions in downtown Portland. You can walk to the Saturday market or to the tram to OHSU.

I love the view and the potential for what Tom McCall Waterfront Park COULD be (which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1) but the reality is that this park, like much of the major free locations in Central Portland, has been...More

My hubby and I stayed two days before heading to the coast. The weather was beautiful and there weren't too many people. Hit the weekend of the dragon boat races and spent time watching them. We walked a lot, but there are spots to rent...More

The waterfront park which is owned by the city of Portland is free except certain events. Even during events, one can still access to the park itself without any charge.
