I love the sculpture courtyard, the new modern wing and the ongoing exhibits. I really like the spaces and the neighborhood on the South Park area. Try going the Wednesday or Saturday farmers market for lunch and a visit to the museum followed by coffee in the sculpture garden.

One way to spend a day out of the rain! At least half a day..... Portland is most fortunate to have an extensive collection of old master....and a very nice outdoor sculpture gallery. It's $20 to gain entry for an adult....a contrast for sure when witnessing all the homeless enroute to the gallery.

On our visit there were a lot of MOnets to see. I enjoyed the wide variety of the exhibit. I was with my children and even they were able to appreciate the history and beauty of the pieces. If I was on my own it would have taken me the entire day to go through the whole museum

Give yourself enough time to enjoy all of the exhibits -- both special and permanent collection as well as the outdoor sculpture pieces. Since this is a sumptuous visual feast you might want to try a nearby restaurant or sandwich from grocery near rear of museum to fortify yourself as the museum cafe is limited in size. But do leave... More

This is a good museum sometimes art museums have just too much to see without overload .i think there is just enough here. The marble pieces are a real piece of quality work .

Nice size museum that can be viewed in 1-2 hours. Few impressionists and some Picasso's on entry level. Remaining floors are mostly modern. Nice Japanese exhibit. Enjoyed floor with engravings. Gift shop had unique and fun items.

This museum is always enjoyable -- good permanent collection nicely displayed and small enough that even those who want to spend a limited amount of time can see much of the permanent collection. The termporary exhibition of landscapes from the Paul Allen collection, which runs through January 10, 2016, leads me to rate it excellent rather than good. This contains... More
