This was a nice not too long or overwhelming site to see. The mansion was beautiful and featured some very innovative things for it’s time, such as a central vac! The views of Portland are very nice and there are hiking trails around it. We...More

I toured the grounds and inside of the Pittock mansion earlier this year with some friends from out of town. The history of the mansion and the Pittock family is interesting and thought provoking. We also saw the groundskeeper's home which was charming and lovely....More

Fascinating mansion with incredible views out of the city. Beautiful gardens and plantings. Interesting history of the founding of Portland. Definitely one of the must sees when you are in Portland.

It was a nice experience to see a part of Portland history and how lavish this mansion was in it's day. Very well kept and easy to navigate without a tour guide.

I love to visit old mansions & hotels due to the history and the old time feel. Unfortunately with Pittock Mansion, the staff have decorated the hell out of it with Christmas and Chinese dragon stuff. It totally took away from the “feel” of the...More

Great view of downtown Portland, cool old mansion, and a great starting point for hikes down to the Autobahn Society.

This is a large old home, built in 1914, with all the "latest" technology. We were there on a rainy day, but there must be spectacular views on a clear day. Worth a visit.

I enjoyed the Pittock mansion. I am a history buff and found the details regarding the mansion interesting. They have done a great job keeping it up and so glad some people stepped up to save it all those years ago. If the weather is...More

We were on a tour and stopped for about 45 minutes. For me it was not enough time and I had to rush through certain rooms in the house.

Unfortunately, there isn't one! We wanted to walk from downtown too, but everyone we asked (from the hotel concierge to tourist information) said take a cab. We took their advice and it was a wise decision. The road up to... More

When you druve up the road the gates do keep you out. Unsure if there are more gates when one enters from the trail from Forest Park?
