I enjoyed the Pittock mansion. I am a history buff and found the details regarding the mansion interesting. They have done a great job keeping it up and so glad some people stepped up to save it all those years ago. If the weather is...More

Wonderful historic house from one of the founding Portland families. Henry started the Oregonian and his wife is one of the founders of the now famous Rose festival. the house is filled with history and well worth an hour in the afternoon.

What a location. Definitely worth the short drive out of town. The house has been well restored and the hiking trails around the mansion make it an ideal day trip. On a clear day, great views of Mt. Hood and the city below.

Enjoyed the amazing view (Mt St Helens and Mt Hood) and walking around the mansion. Transports you to another time and learned about the newspaper magnate.

I took my kids in August and so glad I did. My kids are 13,9, and 7 and they were really interested and amazed at all the history in the home. Also perfect view and photo ops of Portland from the grounds

We were on a tour and stopped for about 45 minutes. For me it was not enough time and I had to rush through certain rooms in the house.

When you druve up the road the gates do keep you out. Unsure if there are more gates when one enters from the trail from Forest Park?
