I like to ride my bike to the top of Council Crest - it is a popular destination for cyclists (and the loop around Council Crest.) Trails crisscross the park. Because of all the trees, you do not get a fully expansive view of Portland & the mountains beyond. Stand in the center of the circle at the top and... More

Had some time to kill between events in the city and wandered up to Council Crest accidentally. For those who don’t know, it’s a small park at the very top of Tualatin Mountains at over 1000 feet. The drive up is very scenic and the views from the top are amazing on a nice clear day with Mount Hood, Mount... More

In a search for places with sweeping views of Portland, I found out about this. Not a straightforward drive up, but easy enough to navigate without a smartphone telling me where to turn. The views are nice, but nothing I would call amazing... hence the "Average" rating. Nice grounds that in some areas are positioned to have those long views... More

We took Uber to the top and hiked the 4T trail down in the early evening. The skies were relatively clear so we could see Mt. Hood, which I actually didn't get to see during my hike in the Mt. Hood National Forest (low clouds). It's a nice spot but there isn't much else to do so we decided to... More

This park boasts great views of Portland and the surrounding areas. There is parking but we road bikes up to the park. It would be a great place to have a picnic or just to visit to see the city from a different area.

My daughter took us to the highest point in Portland to see Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainer & Mt. St. Helens. On a clear day it would have been beautiful. Really expansive views of the city & Mt. Good, the others were in the mist. The park is beautiful & worth the trip & walk.

We took the 4T Trail to get here. It's a bit of hike but so worth it! The views are plentiful and gorgeous! ! There's lots of room for hanging out and having a picnic. And if you don't hike, not to worry, you can get here by car too.

We were trying to get an unobstructed view of gorgeous snow capped Mt Hood by going to Council Crest Park. The road to was very curvy but upon arrival so worth it. This park is now a serene place in Portland that, when the summer haze lifts, should provide great views of Mt Hood and other sights. We were there... More

This was a nice place to to see the peaks in the distance. Well worth the drive up the windy hill. Try and go on a clear day for better views.

There are benches to sit on & enjoy the view. Pros: short drive, easy to find, beautiful city & mountain views om each side Cons: Big mosquitos. Bring Bug Repellant unless you want to be eaten alive ;)
