My husband and I were in Portland to attend a convention but played hooky to visit this zoo. Take the MAX and get a $1.50 off your admission price. Because it was a cool day, a lot of the animals were curled up sleeping. We...More

The Portland zoo is beautifully laid out with different sections. Map is provided at the entrance and the markings are very clear to follow. It is not as big as some other zoos that we have been too but it is beautiful and easy to...More
We went to a concert here and walked the grounds before hand. This is a nice zoo and the concert amphitheater is a great venue for concerts. You can buy reserved seats or there is festival style bring your own chair, etc. on the lawn.

A great experience. Some the best environmentally and sensitive animal exhibits I have seen. A wonderful experience for children but equally for teens and adults. A place you need to visit at least once a year in a different season.
