My husband and I were in Portland to attend a convention but played hooky to visit this zoo. Take the MAX and get a $1.50 off your admission price. Because it was a cool day, a lot of the animals were curled up sleeping. We...More

The Portland zoo is beautifully laid out with different sections. Map is provided at the entrance and the markings are very clear to follow. It is not as big as some other zoos that we have been too but it is beautiful and easy to...More

We went to a concert here and walked the grounds before hand. This is a nice zoo and the concert amphitheater is a great venue for concerts. You can buy reserved seats or there is festival style bring your own chair, etc. on the lawn.

I hate to say this, but the Oregon Zoo is so much better than the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. I'm not just saying this because the Oregon Zoo has sea otters, but that is a definite plus. It's much more organized and the parking...More

World class elephant enclosure, and the exhibits and grounds are top notch. I was quite disappointed in the lack of variety in the animals. Nothing unique or that you cant find just about everywhere else. Note to parents: if you did not know this already,...More

A great experience. Some the best environmentally and sensitive animal exhibits I have seen. A wonderful experience for children but equally for teens and adults. A place you need to visit at least once a year in a different season.

These animals have become domesticated pets, they will be harmed by a concert as much as your Dog or Cat would be harmed if you watched the Harry Potter collection with your sound bar on higher volume. 🤷🏻‍♂️👍🏽
