I loved the layout of this zoo. Trails going back and forth feel like you are going through a forest. Very relaxing. This may sound gruesome but a highlight for my kids was the feeding of the vulture(s). It was fed a young cow...whole, as far as I could tell. It was interesting in a National Geographic way. There were... More

I have been to lots of zoos but this one takes the cake. It is affordable, clean and well organized. My family loved everything from the landscaping to the animals to carousel & the train ride. Ride the Max & get a discount. Thumbs up!

This zoo is located in such a beautiful setting, surrounded by green and trees everywhere. Certain parts felt like walking through northwest forests. They have a wide variety of animals, incliding two lovely female hippos who were quite active.

This zoo is not huge. Some of the animals have smaller habitats than what I am accustomed to seeing. However, there was a decent variety of animals. I was able to see everything in a couple of hours. The zoo's restaurant doesn't have the best food and it is overpriced.

This zoo keeps getting better. I was born and raised in PDX and visited the zoo dozens of times, most recently about 7 years ago. We moved away 11 years ago when our kids were small and have visited zoos all over the country, but none better than Oregon. The scenery is beautiful and the exhibits keep improving all the... More

We make it to the Oregon Zoo about once or twice a year with our two small children. It's just the right size for a solid day out, you can get through most of the exhibits in about four hours or so, including a lunch stop. They are investing in a lot of their enclosures, and upgrading their facilities and... More

If you have the time you should visit this cool little zoo just minutes from downtown. Under forty bucks for a family of 4 and you can really stroll the whole zoo unrushed in under a day. There were a lot of people here on the day we visited which got a little frustrating sometimes but overall was a pleasant... More

The Oregon Zoo is a mid-sized zoo and well worth a visit. The first challenge, though, is getting to the zoo itself. The zoo is located right off a freeway exit, which is certainly convenient. The trick, though, is to get to this freeway (state highway 26). There are three major freeways mixing with city center exits all in a... More
