This was a last minute add to my family's itinerary, but it was well worth it. This museum is great. It helps kids and adults learn about the importance of trees and the forest. There are many interactive exhibits and places to take pictures. My family easily spent over 1 hour here. This is a great activity for a rainy... More

I was so excited after reading the reviews and it definitely lives up to the reviews! This place has so many interactive things for the whole family to do! From young to old, I guarantee that everyone will find something that they enjoy! I had so much fun! I love how it draws you into the nature and let's you... More

A VERY well done museum with great displays, exhibits, and hands on activities, the Forest center is unique among museums. Great for kids. There is a hands on tree planting simulation area, a simulated forest fire jumper activity, white water rafting simulation area, and a place where you can do a simulation of a tree harvesting machine. They also actually... More

Beautifully designed exhibits, top notch, great for kids. There are 2 floors and it's next door to the Portland Zoo. Beautiful area and the max rail takes you right to the front door. Entrance fee for 1 adult & 1 youth was $12, quite a deal for all they offer. We spent a little over an hour there. They sell... More

We walked here from the Rose garden along one of the trails - a lot of uphill walking but very enjoyable. They are currently charging just $5 each entry. When we first went in I thought we wouldn't be in for long as it's not very big. But we were there for over an hour and a half. There was... More

Visited with our 3 and 6 year old grandkids. They had a good time, lots of fun interactive displays that held their attention. Not a lot of attractions but it was great for about an hour and a half. Our grandson loved the big machinery and the locomotive. $5 per person entry fee.

We ran into a group of people from the Netherlands outside of the Forestry Center and they said the place was famous with foresters overseas. The museum was very interesting with lots of interactive exhibits. Most are geared toward children, but there is plenty to keep the attention of adults. You can't miss the stump of tree with the impacted... More

Interactive, educational and well-designed museum geared towards kids, but we (adults) had a blast, too! Hits international and local forestry.

We spent over 2 hours walking through the exhibits and learned lots that we didn't know before. This is the 50th anniversary so admission was $5 flat rate. Not a huge place but lots of exhibits on the two floors. Perfect for younger kids as lots of them were targetted to the younger ones, but even our teens learned something... More

Was a bit skeptical about this museum because of it's size but was so pleasantly surprised! The space is beautiful and the exhibits are super interactive for all. My boys loved this place - especially the scavenger hunt (my 8 year old did 2 of them). The different forests on the upper level were amazing - we were all thoroughly... More
