The Pearl is a Pearl. I just loved all the quirky shops and boutiques. Such an awesome area of the city. Everything is very walkable and lots and lots of great places to eat, grab drinks, coffee, and it's easy to access Downtown and China...More

The weather was more suitable to stay inside that day, so we took a loop streetcar line through the Pearl District. Yet another way to see the city, slowly unfolding in front of your eyes. We had quite a few "Look at that!" moments. Is...More

Stayed in the district during the jazz festival. Between the cablecar and light rail it's easy to navigate the area, find wonderful restaurants and neat shopping. Everyone I met along the way were friendly and helpful.

There's plenty to like here, from the giant Powell's bookstore to all kinds of shopping, theaters, and small, older hotels. Chinatown is also just a few blocks away. The crowds feel very cosmopolitan and friendly-ish.

This is a great neighborhood to walk around in. There are plenty of stops and good places to grab a bite or dinner. I would recommend getting a map prior to going there as it is not like shopping at a mall.

Lots of shops and restaurants scattered about, so if you are into that then it is a great little place. I also appreciated the industrial quality of the area, though it was much more run down then I expected. The Peal District and its surrounding...More

Nice area to walk around and get lost for awhile. Check out various streets and the older houses. Shops, eats and new development continues. Don't miss voodoo donuts.

A visit to the Portland Pearl District is quite an adventure and we love seeing how the area has grown over the years. There are many restaurants, bars, shops, tea shops, parks, etc. to visit and enjoy.

Pearl District is very close to downtown and a beautiful place. But in the trip I wouldn't leave any piece of Portland behind (not a big city, so bike would take you to most of places). Give South East and North East a... More
