All independent business people bringing crafts down to the market. It's really nice shopping outdoors and supporting local people instead of big corporations. Often nice music and interesting sight seeing too!

It is definitely different.... Food did not look that great, and the music was awful but we were only there an hour. It felt cramped and dirty, maybe we caught it on bag day? We really wanted to try Voodoo donuts but it was an hour plus line. Dan and Louis Oyster Bar here we come. Now these Oysters are... More

My niece recommended this market and were told it was the most interesting one but really it lacks in scope. Good people watching but pretty much same old same old.

There were not as many booths as the Portland Saturday Market (which is right across the street from this market), but it was fun to walk around and browse. We came here on a Saturday when it was very hot, so it was not that comfortable walking around. They did have food and beverages for sale.

I didn't care for the items or feel of this market. I am usually drawn to an international market, but this one didn't have an interesting or authentic vibe.

As part of a group of submarine veterans and wives touring Portland’s Saturday Markets, it didn’t make a difference to us if there were one or two markets. They looked basically the same to me, but really spread out. My wife and I liked the Skidmore Market area because she was looking for one of those tie-dye shirts with the... More

Go once and then you'll never really need to go again, unless you find a food truck you really like or enjoy shopping for aprons, tie-dye, and questionable jewelry. There were a few booths with artwork that I was genuinely interested in, but a lot of it is also crap you'll find in booths at a State Fair. The nonsense... More

Lots of craft stalls, some lovely hats, bags, and jewellery. And great food too - chowder, bbq, Mexican, Thai, amongst others, and a Lebanese stall which had a massive queue all morning - must be good!

The Portland Saturday Market is a juried handcrafted market located on the waterfront east of the light rail tracks. The Skidmore Market is mostly handcrafted imports. Both are lovely markets, however if you want an authentic hand made item made in the northwest, you'll find that at the Portland Saturday (Sunday too) Market.

I don't live in Portland, and have always heard about the Saturday Market. Let me clarify the confusion, there are two: Farmer's market at PSU, and Arts/Crafts market by the water. The Farmer's Market is only open on Saturdays, and the Arts/Crafts open both Saturday and Sunday. I went to the Arts/Crafts on Saturday. I feel pressured to give a... More
