A walking tour of Portland's world class food cart scene led by Brett...

A walking tour of Portland's world class food cart scene led by Brett Burmeister, Managing Editor of FoodCartsPortland. The tour begins at one of the city's largest lots and goes from there. You'll learn the history of the carts, owner's unique stories, why it works in Portland and be able to try some of the tasty vittles they serve at 4 different vendors. More food than you expect. A fun time to explore Portland's street food scene.

Food tours are always so good for forcing you outside of your comfort zone - we tasted Thai, Latin, Persian, and Chinese foods - all delicious! Brett was very accommodating - arranged a tour for us in the off season and patiently waited as we showed up at SE 10th instead of SW 10th. Oops! We highly recommend this tour... More

This guy makes the best Pad See You I've ever tasted, but this last time I was there I asked for a special order and he was happy to help. I asked for extra sauce on the Pad Thai and a half order of crab ragoon. Very Happy to help. Very tasty food. I go to this food cart often.

Was looking for something uniquely Portland and this was what I could find. Loved walking around the small block to see the 30 or so carts, also known as "Food truck park" or "food truck experience" on the corner of 9th & adler (a block away from the address listed on this page. Options include thai, chinese, mexican, greek, soups,... More

This is a real Portland special! There are dozens and dozens of "permanent" food carts lined up and encircling blocks in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon. Just about every type of food on the planet is represented...so people in a group can each select their own favorite. We tried Fresh Thai Wok and the food was delicious. There are... More

Tons of food carts! So many choices. Clearly targeted at hipsters and a little overpriced, but creative dishes available. Big drawback, nowhere to sit at all.

We are so glad we did this tour! Coming in on a camping trip from our of town, this was one of the few activities we could do with dogs. Not only was Brett friendly and accommodating with our fury friends, he is so knowledgeable about the food scene that I would definitely recommend this tour. You get enough food... More

I loved it there. I wished that I had more time to go back for a few vendors. They even have a paid parking in the middle. Very reasonable and generous portions.

Obviously, you can walk around yourself and see which carts have the longest lines which is probably a good indication of the best food. This tour, however is great because it I gives you a lot of information about the carts and the history and you get delicious food without waiting!! We loved the four we sampled and could not... Where else can you sample foods from around the world without needing a passport or plane ticket! So many trucks to chose from I got full and had to go again the next day! Prices are very reasonable. Will go every time I am in Portland.
