Iconic and beautiful....so unique...don't miss this if you're walking around downtown. Portland is such a wonderful city to walk around.

Portlandia is an interesting sculpture. It is very large and sits over the entrance to a modern downtown building.

Even though architectural critics pooh pooh this sculpture, it's so Portland! not as gorgeous as the cities botanical wonders (gardens, forests), but irreverent, and another poke at the officious East coast museum snobs who only like Rodin....

In nice area of downtown. building and statue were closed do to construction. Check before going. There is a smaller version of the statue in the Wells Fargo Building down the block, along with a nice little museum.

The Portlandia sculpture has been removed during the renovations to the building. No time given for replacement.

Portlandia is a must see. Beautiful, elegant and strong. It’s a shame it’s place where it is. A bit hard to find, and parking is a big pain.

We had hoped to see this but, it was under cover beginning of May as they are doing building work and monument repairs

And a good thing, because the building looks really shabby. Unfortunately you can’t see the sculpture at all.

We discovered Portlandia on a walking tour which was so well worth it! From our hotel, The Nines, we actually realized we had a view straight down SW 5th Avenue and could see Portlandia. It is huge!
