I cam exclusively to see these sculptures of Beverly Clearly's characters from her children books. And they do seem to add a bit of live to the park. Tier are a sculptures of Henry Higgins, Ramona, and Ribsy the dog. On the ground there are carved stones that tell a little something about each character. I seem to fell that... More

I loved Ramona books as a child, so a stop by the Beverly Cleary Sculpture Park was a must while visiting Portland. It's a water exhibit with statues of Ramona, Henry and Ribsy, and is located in a nice, family park. It's a quick, park-and-walk-to exhibit or would be a nice place to pack a picnic and stay a bit.... More

Parking may be limited (street parking) small park with a play area for younger ones. Is more special when you have read many of Beverly Cleary's books

There are only three statues in the park, Ramona, Henry and Ribsy. They are cool because of the fountains around each one. There is also a playground nearby for the kids.

We stopped by to see the statues while in Portland last week and they were so sweet. There are little plaques on the ground with all the names of the books Cleary wrote. There were a couple of plaques that were really worn off and we think they were describing the characters of the statues but weren't positive. When we... More

Spent about an hour at Grand Park this afternoon. We went to visit the sculpture garden and then stayed to spend some time on the playground. When was the last time you had access to old school teeter totters? Grant Park has them!!!
