Great for a dog run, on a leash. They have public restrooms and parking both in the lot and on the street. Trees around the edge mainly on the south-side.

I love to walk on the paths in this gorgeous city park. It has a section of native forested growth, plus acres of tree lined grass ways. It also has an off leash area for dogs. I really enjoy watching the parade of canines. My girl Moki is too old to walk but she loves to sit and watch the... More

Keep an eye on local neighborhood papers for star parties when volunteers set up nice big telescopes and help you find interesting things in the sky. Less light pollution at this spot.

It seems these days we have to drive everywhere unless your walk-score is 90+. Just step outside the door, walk two blocks and be in the thick of it, right in the park. If you must drive, there is excellent parking unless the kids are playing ball on Saturday mornings. The park has TWO dog-parks (one for winter, one for... More

It is very close to home for us, but that does not change the review. This is a wonderful urban park. It has a dog park, ball fields, playgrounds and a community center. It is a great place to walk with the dog or the grandchildren or your best girl. We have to thank the action of those who set... More

When I'm in Portland on business, I'm in Gabriel Park at daylight for my morning run. The sun rising through the trees is the perfect tonic, and the nice trails with real hills makes for a great workout. One of my favorites anywhere.
