We parked the car and competed the upper Macleay Trail to the witch’s castle and back, took us about 40min there and back and was a nice taster for the rest of the park! The witches castle was a bit of a let down though

As the crow flies, Macleay Park is only about two miles from central Portland; though I only visited for a couple of days I love how there are huge, rural parks so close to the city centre; probably one of the main reasons I fell...More

A nice stop for nature walks, there are upper trails and lower trails and being that we had limited time we took the lower trail that has a creek running next to it. Lots of nature photo opportunities along the hike. The trail narrows in...More

We did the lower trail which a creek ran along most of it. It was beautiful to listen to while you walk. It is a bit steep up and down so wear good walking shoes.

We took a hike from the lower trailhead up to Pittock Mansion. What a great hike. The first part of the trail was a nice wooded trail along the stream, then, at the Stone House it joins the Wildwood Trail that winds up and up...More

The trails were marked and no question on what trail to take. It was nice walking on the paths with nature all around you. Would do it again. The stone house was great and the watere stream too.
