I happened to stumble upon a news clip about this weeks Film Noir Festival being shown at Cinema 21. If I had found out earlier I would have gone Saturday night as well as on Sunday. In fact I plan to go see the double bills on Monday and Tuesday. So they are showing two noir films for the price... More

I am still very upset with my fall yesterday at Cinema 21 waking up w a swollen knee w scrapes and wrist pain and sore hip. I am from New England visiting my adult daughter who just had a surgery and wanted to give myself a break. I chose Cinema 21. When I went into the balcony, it was not... More

On 18 November I purchased two tickets to see "Moonlight." I was disappointed after being denied a military discount. Unfortunately refusing to acknowledge my military service wasn't the worst thing that could happen. As I walked down the stairs to use the bathroom I overheard an employee singing a song from the movie "every n*gger is a star." I waited... More

Fabulous review of the Beatles from 1960 through 1969. I was only 10 when I became aware of them in 1963. What an amazing group of musicians! It was interesting to see how they became disillusioned just because of the sheer number of there fans and how that impacted their music. It was an excellent show!

The movie selections are always top notch indie features. The prices are very reasonable. The butter for the popcorn is real butter. They are located in great neighborhood for eats and drinks before or afterwards. They have their own parking lots a couple blocks away.

Not only does 21st Avenue have great restaurants and stores, it has this superb small movie theater. A really good selection of films that don't hit the majors.

Haven't been to Cinema 21 in the funky Northwest Portland area in years. The area has even more bars and restaurants filled with hipsters than I remember. Narrow shaded streets with limited parking opportunities. But Cinema 21 is even better than I remember. First run art films. My pass was $6.50-- yes, $6.50, not $16.50! My medium soda and medium... Went to the Sound of Music Experience to sing along, hiss the Baroness, and wave our Eidelwiess. Silly and fun. Like Mystery Science Theatre with singing and a good movie. Comfortable, well-spaced seating, clean space, cheap popcorn, wine and beer. Free parking 3 blocks to the north at Legacy business office, 20th and Lovejoy. Great family-friendly time. They have lots... More

A great smallish theatre in the NW area of Portland. They show more the independent kind of movies and no so much the huge blockbusters. The guy at the ticket window was fast and friendly, as was the rest of the staff I encountered. The bathroom was cleaned and smelled of obvious bleach and cleaning. The seats were comfy. I'd come...
