Outstanding bridge. Unlike other bridges in Portland, this bridge illuminates beautifully at night. This is very close to OMSI.

I loved walking across this bridge -- such a special place and, as my city tour guide told me, totally unique in all the world.

Walking bridge doesn't offer much else. There is really nothing else around here to keep you interested. We walked across and back, pausing to take pictures.

This pedestrian/bike path that crosses the river is clean, in a safe area and has a relatively easy gradient. Beautiful view.

Well done Portland! A bridge that is so cool and it is very nice that it is only for biking and walking and the public transport buses. Cool bridge and great views of the city.

It was a really long bridge. It was fun to walk acrossed it. It also looks cool if you see it from far away. You also get a good view of the Arial Tram. You can see the lake from there too. Half of it is a walking area, so there is a lot of space to be on.

The bridge is stunning... great to walk across after visiting waterfront - takes you across by OMSI. A nice hike to do on a sunny day!

Only public transport allowed in the middle, and separated outer lanes dedicated to pedestrians and bikes. Easy moderate slope access. Beautiful architecture.
Need more of these in all cities split by a river.

How long would it take for an adult to walk from the OMSI parking lot, across the Tilikum Crossing bridge to the Portland Aerial Tram terminal?

Thank you all.
Where is the best place to take pictures of this bridge at night, so that I get the entire thing in view?

I’d suggest doing a daytime walk about to get your bearings then return at night...possibly from the OMSI (East side). Good luck!

WHERE do you park?

There is street parking with meters to in the new neighborhoods by the waterfront (look for were the Arial Tram comes down and were all the new condo buildings are.) I believe it is $2 an hour and they take credit cards. You can also park at OMSI (again paid) or along Water Street near the Hawthorne Bridge (free but make sure you don't leave valuables in the car.) OMSI is probably the closest if you don't want to walk too far.

Yes, it is right next to OMSI so you can walk across it from the west side to the east side. You can also get to OMSI using the Portland Street Car, there is a stop nearby OMSI.
