Found this on TA after being told about it by a friend. An fairly moderate hike, about 4.5 round trip according to the MapMyRun app. It's a pretty steep incline, so trek poles or a walking stick would be handy. You don't start to see...More

I cannot speak to how it is in summer but winter was phenomenal. Ended up snowshoeing up there in time to see the sunrise. It was cold but ridiculously gorgeous and worth every shivering step taken. Can't wait to make it back!

I love this little hike, and I am glad that it is a short hike. This was the third leg of a big day last week (Oct-14-2015). We started the day off with the South Sister hike. Once we finished that 12+ mile, 5000 foot...More

The hike up tumalo mountain is definitely hard work but the views are worth every drop of sweat. You definitely need hiking poles or a sturdy stick for the walk down the mountain as it's very hard on your knees (and we are young!!)

The trail seemed to be very popular. The parking was almost full when we arrived on a weekday. Most of the trail runs through a forest so you can take a break in a shadow when you are exhausted. Remember on the top you will...More

I always enjoy this hike. It's about 1.5 miles one way and all up to the summit. It takes you through the lower shady forest and on until you summit with fabulous views of both Mt Bachelor and the Three sisters. I find it to...More

The view of the Cascade Mountains----especially the Three Sisters----is beyond compare. Watching the sunsets is the best in the U.S.

This great hike gains 1400 feet in about 2 miles. It was sunny and hot the day we went up, but we got a good workout. Wonderful views of South Sister, Broken Top, and Mt. Bachelor from the summit. Easy parking at trail head, but...More
