Worth a visit just to view the rock, river and scenery. Parking lot fills up fast on weekends with hikers and rock climbers. Didn't feel up to a hike, but just hiking along the river and up to the base of the rock looked tempting.

A classic hike for central Oregon. There's a harder hike up and over the ridge, or a pretty easy hike along the river. Go during cool weather cuz it gets pretty toasty in the summer.

There is only one entrance/exit to this state park from Hwy 97. I would recommend to you to stop at the first parking lot in the park. From there leads a easy flat trail that takes you around the southern edge of the steep... More
