On our way to Silverton we took the back roads to see the covered bridge. It is worth a visit to drive over it. The history of the area is interesting. The area is nice for a drive along the country roads.

Oregon is young as history goes. The Gallon House Bridge was built when our state was only 57 years old! And now, in 2017, it has withstood over 100 years of rain, rain, rain. I'm unsure of why the sides of the bridge were closed.....to...More

Used this location with a professional photographer for a photo shoot of my daughter. The pictures turned out so nice. This bridge is well preserved and beautiful.

As Knansea noted (22nd Dec., 2015) "No signs." Some suggest that you consult your GPS. We tried... and failed... . We asked at a Silverton gas station, while filling. Still no joy... . We've enjoyed visiting Oregon's covered bridges. Gave up trying to find _this_...More
