This small but lovely home, one of the very few if not the only built by Frank Lloyd Wright himself in the Pacific North West, is located in a beautiful garden area and open for visitors. Not sure of the hours--unfortunately, it was not open the day we visited--but even without a tour we could peek in the windows and... More

this was a very interesting place to visit. Nice and factual history. Recommend the tour. Probably more fitting for adults or teens, although some children might find it interesting. Great history.

Near Oregon Garden, we visited this great house (with few objections, except for a private function inside). Excellent example of this style. Incredible views from outside.

This is not one of FLW's more impressive creations. The home was moved to this property from its original location.

Lots of interesting design ideas but I couldn't imaging living here - it seems a bit unfriendly and clinical. i guess you either agree with FLW or you dont. Docent was knowledgeable and enthusiastic - 45 min tour took just over an hour. A worthwhile one-time visit. Also you get a 50% discount on the $20 entry fee if you... More

We loved touring this house. The tour lasts about 45 minutes to an hour (which is significant since the house is pretty small), but our tour guide was so passionate and knowledgeable we all got caught up in her enthusiasm. Not great for kids, which is to be expected, but kid just sat on the couch and read a book... More

Enjoyed this excellent tour of a FLW home designed for a middle class family towards the end of his life. You are advised to make a reservation in advance; on a rainy Sunday we had no problem getting same day tickets, but tours do sell out at times.

I love Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes, and the Gordon House is no exception. Beautiful grounds (though not the original location) and a beautiful home. The docents are knowledgeable and friendly and it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

This is the only Frank Lloyd Wright house in the Northwest that is open for tours, the Gordon House in Silverton, is about an hour or so south of Portland. One of the few Frank Lloyd Wright houses that allows you full access, including upstairs. It is a fine example of Usonian architecture, and the story and video of the... More

You should be a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright to visit this house, otherwise it is just another house to tour. Interesting story about the house and how it was moved.
