Nice short loop to view the falls

Great place that has a wonderful little loop walk with a couple short side trips to really see the falls.

A longer, but still easy, hike along a well-maintained trail that is another worthwhile stop along the McKenzie Highway loop.

This was a partially paved walk, then rough area where there were rocks and relatively easy if you just stopped at the overlook. We made the mistake by going down even further because we came from the side where you didn't see the overlook and it was very difficult as you had to climb over fallen trees etc. I do... More

This is a hike for everyone whether elderly or a family with small children. It's short in distance (under 2mi RT) with very little up and down. The lower Proxy Falls is spectacular and we went in October when most falls across the country are barely flowing. If you have an hour or two and are in the area this... More

Breathtaking views in the fall. Very easy hike. Starts as a forest trail and then your surrounded by rocks. A must see

We felt this was a really nice hike to a couple of pretty waterfalls and well worth the visit. Parking is found along both sides of the road, the trailhead is located across the road from the restroom. It starts to the right side... the trail will take you through a lava flow, some old growth trees and moss covered... More

This was a great hike. The upper falls has easy access and a moderate rock climb up the side of the fall. The lower fall is more difficult for those who are not sure footed, but well worth the effort.

Most beautiful. Take the trail on the at side for an easier climb. Upper Proxy Falls is small but notice that it does not drain out to a stream. Lower Proxy Falls is absolutely gorgeous. You must divert off the trail down to it. I visited in the late afternoon when sunlight formed a rainbow at the base. The shadows... More

We (our family, and another) took our 9 kids (ages 18 months to 14 years old) on this short hike. We didn't end up seeing the Lower Falls because there was report of an active yellow jacket nest right at the end of the trail, and the family in front of us had all received 3-10 stings each (YOWCH!). So... More

Fairly easy, short hike. The falls are beautiful!!! We went very early in the morning, and were the only ones there. I only wish we would have packed bug spray, lots of mosquitos at the Upper Proxy Falls area.
